Automated Data Reporting at Pacoima Spreading Ground

Los Angeles County Public Works

As part of the restoration project, Los Angeles (LA) County Public Works is operating an air quality monitoring network that collects continuous data on ambient air quality and meteorological conditions in the Pacoima Spreading Ground.

Tetra Tech created an application that automatically pulls data from the Aeroqual monitor cloud database into a database and performs calculations with the data to provide a daily spreadsheet report via email. Notifications are also sent out via text of potential exceedances of fugitive dust emissions

The air quality monitoring data collected from the monitoring stations will be used to better manage and provide feedback to LA County Public Works to implement best management practices and emission mitigation measures to reduce potential negative environmental and public health impacts by the restoration project.
