Tetra Tech has developed web sites from simple to complex depending on client needs. Static HTML pages can be delivered for clients to host on their servers, or we can host sites for clients that allow for dynamic database queries, web mapping, and professional multimedia content.
Tetra Tech has full GIS services for both analyzing data for our own internal analysis for decision making, but we can also provide custom GIS solutions for our clients. Tetra Tech is a business partner with ESRI, MapInfo Corporation, Advanced Visual Systems (AVS), and Northwood Technologies and can offer their stand-alone products to our clients, as well as incorporate their tools into custom solutions.
GIS data and analytical tools can now be widely-accessed via the Internet or on company Intranets. The end users need only have a web browser in order to query large databases and create their own customized maps. All processing is done on the server, which eliminates the need for distributing CDs of large amounts of data, and also saves our clients from purchasing high-end workstations and several licenses of GIS software that is difficult to use, and most staff require custom tools beyond what is in the off-the-shelf programs. Field crews can monitor environmental parameters on a laptop with a web browser to record data directly into a database that can also be queried and provide maps from the gigabytes of data collected on a typical environmental project.
